Hello Shipmates,

Thanks to all of you who were able to come to our Spring Social last Friday night.

It was a wonderful evening with 25 people attending.    

We reserved a nice venue at the Hill Air Force Base Landing Club and catered an excellent dinner from Maddox.

I was excited to see so many Supply Corps Officers meet for the 1st time and have an instant bond.  Shortly after Captain Greg and Fe Johnson walked into our room, Captain Earl and Donna Johnson walked in. I introduced them together and they spent the rest of the night talking about their family ancestorial lines in Scotland. 

And big thanks to Captain Al Schmidt for the moving narration of the MIA/POW table script and Greg Johnson for giving a brief synopsis of the Battle of Midway. 

Our guest speaker, Ms. Antionette Stapley related her experiences of suddenly losing her husband during a deployment to Qatar in 2013. Antionette’s anxiety and frustrations led her to create her non-profit organization to help educate spouses of the benefits and opportunities available, in the event that the unexpected happens.  To date, she has helped over 4,000 families.

Antionette shared with us a check list of things that spouses should be aware of in the case of the unexpected.  The checklist will also be posted here for your use.
